About us
Dignef Fine Wines was founded in 2012 by Jan Dignef.
After completing his studies at Hotel School Spijker in Hoogstraten (Belgium), Jan further developed his wine expertise through the D.U.A.D. (Diplôme Universitaire d’Aptitude à la Dégustation) at the Institut d’Œnologie in Talence (Bordeaux). He gained hands-on experience in viticulture at Château Haut-Bailly in Pessac-Léognan under the guidance of Daniel Sanders.
Jan also built extensive international experience as a sommelier, notably at Roger Souvereyns’ Scholteshof in Stevoort and at Marco Pierre White’s restaurant in London. With this strong foundation, he went on to establish himself as a fine wine merchant.
Dignef Fine Wines specialises in sourcing fine and rare wines from private collectors and restaurant cellars in Belgium and neighbouring countries. Sales are primarily focused on leading wine merchants in Europe and Asia, while also serving private collectors worldwide.
All wines are stored in Dignef Fine Wines’ own climate-controlled cellar. Clients can always request detailed information and bottle photographs. All wines are physically in stock, immediately available, and shipped worldwide.
